Mustaches for Mitchell fundraiser to benefit Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

Mustaches for Mitchell fundraiser to benefit Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

From: http://www.rockfordschools.org

On Friday, December 10, 2010, during the Rockford varsity boys’ and girls’ home basketball games against East Grand Rapids High School, RPS will be raising funds for Mustaches for Mitchell, a fundraiser to support research and education for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The fundraising is done for the Parent Project MD in the name of Mitchell Peterson, a Rockford High School freshman diagnosed with Duchenne MD.

On November 15th, a group of 20 staff members throughout the district began growing mustaches as one of the fundraisers for the cause. The December 10 fundraiser provides the opportunity for the student body and community to be involved. Fans can purchase self-adhesive mustaches and t-shirts to wear throughout the game in support of this fundraiser.

Rockford stomps East Kentwood

KENTWOOD (WZZM) -- The Rockford Rams tried to keep pace in the competitive O-K Red Conference as they faced the East Kentwood Falcons Friday.

The game was out of hand by halftime and Rockford just ran away with it in the third quarter.

In the end Rockford rocked East Kentwood 53-7.

Rockford Rams send Muskegon home with HUGE LOSS!

I'm sure everyone knows the story by now & how the Rams sent Muskegon home with their tales between their legs but what amazed me was the support you Rockford Fans provided throughout this game & dedication to the hot dog stand! I got their an hour early thinking I would  pretty much be 1 of the 1st ones there but there I go thinking again because the parking lot was already jammed up & thank God I got to go on the field because every seat in the house was already taken, including the lawn area & the sky booths above were sold out. Its such a great feeling knowing that regardless of win or lose or where the game is played, Rockford supports its Athletes to the Max! Thank You!

Rockford Rams Play Fifth Third Ballpark 10/1 7pm

Hey West Michigan & Rockford Residents,
Grab the Fall Jackets & head to Fifth Third BallPark  for what I believe is to be the Rockford Rams 1st game in this ballpark, & the best part is their playing our rival Muskegon, who so far are undefeated in our league. The Rams lost their 1st league game last night in Grand Haven so I'm sure they'll be out in full force & with every trick up theirs sleeves to over come Muskegon and send them home pouting with their 1st loss. Game time is 7pm so get there early & show your support for the best team in the whole wide world. See ya there, Tom Scott
