Rockford HS teens missing, without meds | News
ROCKFORD, Mich. (WZZM) -- The Kent County Sheriff's Department's Search and Rescue Team was activated Monday evening after two high school students were reported missing.
Gavin Vilchez and Renee Hunt, both 17, were last seen around 1 p.m. on Atlanta Court. Authorities say the teenagers skipped their fourth and fifth hour classes at Rockford High School and are likely traveling on foot.
Police are concerned for their safety because both teenagers are without their medication. Authorities told WZZM 13 Vilchez is dependant on his medication.
Gavin is a white male, about 5'7'' tall and 150 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was wearing dark clothing and a backpack. He was also wearing a dark 'Ride' brand snowboarding hooded jacket and may also have a longboard skateboard.
Renee is a white female, 5'5'' tall and 135 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She was wearing dark clothing and was carrying a dark backpack.
