Rockford woman one of 100 national finalists in Pillsbury Bakeoff

A Rockford woman is one of 100 finalists nationwide for the 47th Pillsbury Bakeoff.  She will travel to Nashville where she will compete for one million dollars.  Her original recipe is sausage and blue cheese crescent cups.   According to the Pillsbury website, Jennifer created her contest entry with her head taste tester—her husband—in mind. “He loves red pepper jelly, blue cheese, sausage and all things in crescent rolls,” she says. While growing up, Jennifer was charged with folding the family’s laundry, which she happily did while watching her favorite cooking shows on TV. Her father enjoys hunting and fishing, often giving his bounty to Jennifer to prepare.                                                  Jennifer is one of three finalists from Michigan.  The other two are on the east side of the state.  Jennifer will travel to Nashville to compete in her category the first week of November.  Four finalists will be chosen by the judges.  In December,  the public will be able to vote for their favorite recipe and the $1 Million winner will be announced.
